Previously serving as Trading Manager at Camberford Underwriting, she led a team of twelve while building extensive market knowledge. Her career includes successful tenures at Gallagher and Towergate Insurance, where she developed strong broker relationships and underwriting expertise.

As Senior Development Underwriter, Karen leads underwriting and distribution across the Scottish and Northern Irish markets, working closely with brokers to grow a profitable and sustainable portfolio. With over 15 years of underwriting experience, Karen has held senior roles at Giant and Carrolls, most recently as Senior Commercial Underwriter at Carrolls. There, she specialised in property risks and played a key role in expanding their footprint across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Known for her technical expertise and market insight, Karen is focused on delivering tailored solutions, building long-term broker partnerships, and driving growth as we continue to extend our proven MGA model across the UK.

Jenny Attewell is Lead SME Underwriter at Ventis, contributing to the company’s expansion in the SME market. With 18 years of insurance industry experience across Direct Line, NIG, and RSA, Jenny brings comprehensive expertise in underwriting, portfolio management, and team leadership.

At NIG (later integrated into RSA), Jenny excelled as eTrade Portfolio Underwriter, where she managed a team of six while focusing on broker accounts and large cases. Her responsibilities included performance improvement, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and product development. Jenny’s diverse background encompasses sales, customer service, technical underwriting, and complex portfolio management. Her results-driven approach and dedication to talent development have consistently delivered financial goals while advancing organisational priorities across the SME real estate sector.

An accomplished insurance professional, Zoe brings a wealth of experience to her role as an Underwriter for new business. In her previous position as a Renewals Underwriter, Zoe expertly managed a dedicated panel of brokers, overseeing renewals, mid-term adjustments, account reviews, and large cases. Adept at cultivating strong relationships, Zoe actively engaged in broker meetings and maintained regular communication to ensure client satisfaction.

In pursuit of professional development, Zoe achieved a Level 3 Insurance Practitioner qualification through an apprenticeship. Additionally, she obtained her DIP in 2024. Known for her exceptional organisational skills and proactive approach, Zoe is well-equipped to continue excelling in writing business, collaborating with brokers, and contributing to successful meeting outcomes.

In his previous role at AIG, Joshua managed substantial US Property and US Healthcare portfolios, successfully balancing new business and renewals while cultivating partnerships with leading London brokers. He independently managed the US Healthcare team during a staffing transition, which reflected the trust his supervisors placed in him.

With a solid foundation in underwriting principles and a proactive mindset, Joshua is well-equipped to contribute to a high-performing underwriting team.

Joshua’s travels across Australia and Latin America, blending work and volunteering, honed his cross-cultural expertise and adaptability—skills he considers invaluable for his professional journey.

Suchitra brings over 17 years of experience in the insurance industry to her role as an Underwriter. With a background spanning both reinsurance and insurance sectors, she possesses a diverse skill set in underwriting various product lines. Kelly leads all aspects of financial strategy, reporting and compliance across Mission’s UK and European operations. A seasoned financial executive wit h 25+ years in insurance and financial ser vices, Kelly star ted her career at PWC. She progressed through key roles including Finance Director at a Lloyds Insurance Broker, where she managed financial operations across 10 worldwide subsidiaries, and Associate Director at Grant Thornton UK LLP, specialising in financial due diligence for insurance and wealth management.

Derah McCall FCIM, provides comprehensive marketing services to Ventis through her role as Marketing Director at Mission. With over two decades of insurance marketing expertise, she delivers strategic brand development, digital marketing, and content creation. Derah works closely with Ventis to define objectives and implement tailored strategies that drive measurable results.
